Senior Tax Manager – Investment

Our client is a premier financial services organisation experiencing significant growth. We are seeking a Senior Tax Manager to join a high-caliber tax function and play a pivotal role in shaping large-scale investment outcomes (Domestic and International).

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Tax, you will join a sophisticated team of tax specialists. This is a high-visibility advisory role focused on the structuring and tax-effectiveness of investments. You will act as a key partner to the investment team, ensuring deals are structured to align with the fund's overarching investment models.

Key Responsibilities:

• Investment Advisory: Provide tax advice on investment structures.
• Deal Execution: Coordinate with internal investment teams and manage relationships with external advisors to secure advice on deal structuring.
• Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and develop a dedicated team of 3-4, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
• Strategic Oversight: While compliance is largely outsourced, you will maintain oversight to ensure all global investment vehicles are managed with high commercial acumen.

The Successful Candidate Will Possess:

• Qualifications: A relevant tertiary degree (Law, Accounting, or Commerce). CA/CPA or legal qualifications are essential.
• Investment Expertise: Significant experience in Investment Tax within a large corporate, major fund, or similar environment.
• Structural Knowledge: Understanding of domestic and offshore investment vehicles.
• Commercial Astuteness: A proven ability to look beyond the numbers to ensure tax structures support broader commercial and investment objectives.
• Leadership: A track record of managing and developing high-performing technical staff.
